Jamie has met up with Mandy Henderson the development manager at Linton Lane Centre, Kirkcaldy at the opening of its new community garden.
The trim trail and clatter bridge we installed was funded by Funded by Fife Health and Wellbeing Alliance and follows from the centre’s major refurbishment in 2013.
Mandy said she was delighted with the garden, which is aimed at the under 5s.
“It will be used by our own group and the kids from Valley Nursery in the morning, but from 12 o’clock onwards it’s open to everyone.
“So we’re saying to any parents in the area, please come along and use it. It’s all fenced in so it’s perfectly safe.
“We’ve had people say to us that there is a lack of play areas like this around here so that’s why we had it installed, by a local firm, and I hope it will be popular.
“It’s for the community to use. If people want to bring a packed lunch with them that’s absolutely fine. They’ll be able to use the toilets here and there’s always teas and coffees on the go for adults.
