Scotland’s Finest Woods Awards 2019 winners announced

There was lots of excitement in the air as the winners of Scotland’s Finest Woods Awards 2019 were announced at the Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh. The awards highlight all that is best in Scotland’s management of its woods and forests, and showcase how they contribute to the wealth and well-being of Scotland’s people.

About the schools award

This particular award was set up to encourage and reward schools that increase young people’s understanding and appreciation of the environmental, social and economic potential of trees, woodlands and forests and of the link between trees and everyday wood-based products. Entry was open to nursery, primary, secondary and special schools anywhere in Scotland.
