Hanging Log Steps Traverse : CP-HLS(E)

Description

The Hanging Log Steps Traverse consists of four small horizontal timber logs suspended between two large upright timbers.

The challenge is to traverse from one end to another on the wobbling hanging logs.

All components are high quality – the timber is pressure treated European Pine – the ropes are red, steel cored multi strand nylon designed specifically for the playground and leisure industry.

We fit Postsaver sleeves at the ground line section of all timber posts that are extended into the ground. This will keep the cause of ground rot out and the preservative in, ensuring that the new piece of equipment will last for many years. The timbers are also concreted into the ground.

For something different and perhaps a little bit more easy to traverse for younger children have a look at our Floating Steps – they are set lower to the ground and do not wobble quite as much as the Hanging Log Steps Traverse. Small timber planks are suspended between two large upright timber poles using metal chains. A high rope has been placed to help with balance. It encourages children and young adults to test their physical coordination as the traverse along the steps.

Or try our Cross Wires which offer a different challenge. They are three heavy duty steel cored nylon wires suspended between upright timbers with a top pole for extra strength. Two of the wires make a cross formation and the third wire is suspended lower down.
