Flying Fox / Zip Wire

The Flying Fox – also known as a Zip Wire – is a dynamic and fun play item ideal for large open play areas and supplied in a range of lengths to suit the spaces available.

It has a starting ramp at one end and a comprehensive compression spring system at the finish to ensure a safe, controlled ride to the end. Due to the nature of this product, there is still an element of exhilaration as you descend from one end to the other.

Constructed from quality pressure-treated round timbers, these units blend well into the rural environment, are robust and heavy-duty.

We can make use of existing trees to fix the flying fox onto if appropriate and safe.

The legs are fitted with galvanised metal extension legs, so the timbers are not in the ground.

The main cross beams are metal and have a tensioning winch which ensures that the wire can be tightened as needed as the wire will stretch with use.

Also – the carriage is made with stainless steel and nylon rollers so it will not rust, it is also enclosed so it will not blow, or fall off the cable.

The cable is galvanised steel and is 10mm in diameter.
