Specifications

  • The GPF tower is constructed with 6 legs, (8cm machine rounded timber) with a set of support bars that create a secure frame structure.
  • The tower platform floor is machined redwood decking position 1.4m above ground level.
  • The tower is accessed via two 5 rung ladders and climbing ramp.
  • All rungs are positioned 25cm apart and have red safety bushes between the rungs and ladder sides.
  • The 3m climbing ramp can be positioned on either side of the tower away from the swing frame.
  • The pull rope on the climbing ramp is 2.5m long and 35cm thick.
  • The swing frame is attached to the tower by 10M timber bolts fixed to the corner and centre legs.
  • Top swing pole 12cm diameter supported by two pairs of 10cm diameter legs.
  • Top pole secured with 10M timber bolts and 8M timber bolts are used at all other points which are located into pre-drilled, recessed holes.
  • The large 2.5m spread between the legs ensures product stability.
  • 8cm diagonal bracing bars have 2 fixing points at end of the bar.
  • All swing pivot points are fixed through the 12cm top swing pole and locked with twin locking nuts.
  • All swing ropes are 12mm, sealed, and tested to 200kg.
  • The hemp rope net is 1.2m wide x 3.0m and the ladder 1.0m wide.
  • The roof size is 1.8 x 1.8m.
  • The play frame can be changed to have either 2 nets or 2 ladder sets.
  • All steps are 6cm diameter and positioned 28cm apart and have red safety bushes between the rungs and ladder sides (frame legs).
  • All the timbers have been pressure-treated and impregnated with wax, providing a more repellent surface so reducing water absorption and delaying future rotting of the timber.
  • Due to the size of the A-frame legs, they are able to partially compensate for uneven ground or slight slopes.
  • The wave slide is 3m long and is made from high-density polyethylene.

This Garden Play Fort with Cargo Net and Swing Extension has a central unit constructed from timber with a 3.0m HDPE wave slide, two access ladders and a climbing ramp with pull rope. It also has a double swing frame with extension on one side which has two double swing points and a single swing point on the extension. On another side of the tower is a large climbing net frame with hemp rope net. This product really does have it all!

All the timbers have been pressure treated and impregnated with wax, providing a more repellent surface so reducing water absorption and delaying future rotting of the timber. The ropes used on the net and swings are poly hemp which means they are soft to touch, natural looking and waterproof therefore able to withstand the weather and therefore less liable to rot.

Swing seats are purchased separately to enable you to choose the right seat combination for the size, age and ability of the persons using the product so don’t forget to buy swing seats! Information on choosing swing seats for different types of swing points is available here.

We recommend using Grass Safety Mats under and around this product in order to prevent ground erosion and reduce the chance of injury should a child fall.
