Fun at the Royal Highland Show 2023

The 2023 Royal Highland Show is always an amazing event in scale, variety and excitement, and this year was no exception. Our show stand was extremely busy throughout the four day event, new friends and connections were made and it was lovely to meet customers both old and new.

RHASS Presidential Initiative

It was a real pleasure to be part of the Presidential Initiative this year, and to learn more about the critical role of science and technology in the food and drink sector. We provided some outdoor seating and a few items of interest including a couple of Mag Posts and some Wormeries!

Scotland’s Finest Woods Award

We are supporters of the Scotland’s Finest Woods Awards (SFWA) and our Mag Posts are handed out to the winners of two of the categories. The Early Years Award is for the youngest children’s learning and supplements the Schools Award for those who are older.

The Early Years Award was won by Bushcraft Bairns, based in Comrie who offer a learner-centred approach, where the ‘Bairns’ can participate and learn through self-directed play and exploration of woodlands. It is run by outdoor learning enthusiasts Laura Norval and Lynne Copland, pictured along with Jamie, our MD.

Fordyce Primary School in Aberdeenshire won the Schools Award and are pictured alongside Mairi Gougeon MSP the Scottish Government Rural Affairs Secretary.

Full details of all the winners are on the SFWA website.

Royal Highland Show Kids Zone

For those with children and in need of some space, we were pleased to once again provide the sponsor the Kids Zone by providing some of our play equipment for the outdoor play area. It was well used and it was nice to be able to offer the children somewhere to burn off excess energy while the family took a break.

Walking in between all the huge agricultural machinery made us feel as though we had shrunk in size!
