Hanging Ropes Traverse
The Hanging Ropes Traverse for schools are a series of vertical ropes suspended from a high horizontal cross piece. Lower down is a horizontal wire for traversing along. The wire is attached to two large upright 14cm diameter timbers are which are concreted into the ground.
This product is sometimes also referred to as Jungle Wires.
More suited for older children and adults – this product is excellent for developing upper body strength as well as balance and coordination.
The timbers used are quarter-sawn, pressure-treated and impregnated with wax, providing a more repellent surface so reducing water absorption and delaying future rotting of the timber.
We also fit Postsaver sleeves at the ground line section of all timber posts that are extended into the ground. This will keep the cause of ground rot out and the preservative in, ensuring that the new piece of equipment will last for many years.
We recommend placing grass safety mats at key points around this product to minimise ground erosion. Our sales team will be happy to advise on the number of mats required and also on the best place to place them. Call 01577 840570 to speak to our sales team or email sales@caledoniaplay.com.
